Written by Sarah Miller

Benchmarks provide a reference point to compare your client’s portfolio performance. You can assign well-known benchmarks (like the S&P 500 Total Return or MSCI Emerging Markets) or create a custom blended benchmark that mirrors your client's asset allocation.

Steps to Assign a Benchmark to an Investments Account from the Dashboard

  1. Go to the Clients menu on the left-hand side of the dashboard.

  2. Locate the specific Account for which you want to assign the benchmark. Click over the account.

  1. Go to the Account Settings Tab. At the bottom of the list, there is the Benchmark Management Section.

  1. An account can have up to 3 benchmarks assigned. You will see the list of assigned Benchmarks, or you click on Add Benchmark.

  1. Select a Benchmark from the list, or create a new one to be assigned to this Account. The benchmark created will be available to be used on other accounts as needed.

  1. Click on the Assign Button.
