How Clients Can Add Beneficiaries

Advisors are unable to add beneficiaries on behalf of their client, however, here are the clear instructions for clients to add primary and contingent beneficiaries on their own.

If your client is looking to add or edit beneficiaries on their account, you can provide the instructions below:

  1. Log into their account at https://app.zoefin.com

  2. Click into account

  3. Click on "Account Info" tab

  4. They will see both a "Primary Beneficiaries" And "Contingent Beneficiaries"

  5. They are able to edit these sections as they please, including the name, relationship, and share of funds you would like to be distributed to this beneficiary

  6. Click save

This can be done for both contingent and primary beneficiaries.

Note: Our platform currently only supports Per Capita beneficiaries, if you are looking to Per Stirpes beneficiaries, we recommend inputting contingent beneficiaries of the primary beneficiary's children/descendants.

The Client Support team can assist with adding beneficiaries on behalf of clients. To submit a beneficiary request, please provide the following information for each beneficiary:

  1. First and last name

  2. Date of birth

  3. Relationship to the account owner

  4. Percentage of allocation (must be a whole percentage)

Clients can provide this information by contacting Client Support at [email protected] or 646-264-4449. Once received, the team can assist with updating the beneficiary information on the account.
